Cache Details
Description
The 49th cache hidden by caughtatwork is a moveable cache and can only be found on Geocaching Australia.
Your challenge is to locate this cache, collect it, run away, make your log and rehide it in a location that matches the color of the cache container.
The log sheet is waterproof to (hopefully) ensure its longevity.
Please feel free to log this cache up to 10 times as long as you are having fun finding and rehiding it. Of course, you should wait until someone else has hidden it before you can log it as a find again.
There are some simple guidelines:
- When you grab the cache please rehide it again the same day or at the latest within 24 hours.
- Rehide the cache attached to an object the same or similar in color.
The further away the merrier.
- Log your find here as soon as you can so others are not trying to find the cache you just moved.
- When logging your find at geocaching.com.au, please insert the co-ordinates in the coords box.
This allows the software to automatically update the new location. Enter your co-ordinates in the format Sdd mm.mmm Eddd mm.mmm You don't have to include the degrees or minutes symbols when entering updated co-ordinates but you should leave a space between the degrees and minutes. Try a copy and paste of the example co-ordinates into the new co-ordinates box and type over them.
- Please keep this cache in Australia but feel free to move it interstate if you feel in the mood.
- Wherever possible, try and keep to the difficulty / terrain rating as originally listed.
Of course the best fun about one of these caches is that you don't have to worry about being spotted retrieving the cache. Feel free to be as obvious as you need to be in order to claim it.
Then run away as fast as you can.
Enjoy.

S27° 37.298' E153° 14.078' I delivered Government Grey to its new resting place today. If you pick it up during a week day remember to wave across the road where young CHUNKY MONKEY should be busy learning and Mumma NANKS busy teaching!

I couldn't resist picking up this little guy again. It has been nearly 2 years since Mr NANKS had an incident involving a security guard retrieving Government Grey. Fortunately, I was undisturbed when grabbing it again. I felt pretty sure I knew where it would be as this is our local area! A quick easy find....and yes....I left the red dot. Mmmmmm.....where to now??? Cheers THENANKS |

S27° 24.326' E153° 2.939' "On the Move - Government Grey" has been placed in a more northerly park of Brisbane used for cricket, hockey and softball and it's a great walking area for geocachers and muggles. Across the road are rugby union fields, more cricket ovals and beach volleyball courts too. Across that road from Govt Grey and near the creek bank is a huge gum tree that is my favourite tree. It is the home of hundreds of birds and possums. Several different types of parrots make their nests in that tree. Have a look at it while you are here. |

Just in case others are wondering what has happened to 'Government Grey' I have some bad and some good news.
I thought it best to post a log to keep interested parties informed.
We grabbed the Cache the other morning and the same day we went on a bike ride to hide it in a new location.
#1 son spotted what appeared to be a fabulous spot. A large grey flood light on the fence line of a local baseball field.
I said "great, no muggles around, go for it" Seconds later with an absolute look of horror he turned around "I think it's gone" - (perhaps even a hint of a tear)...... WHAT!!!
What happened is the small hole at the base of this floodlight, concealed a 3 metre hole.... straight down.
We rode home grabbed coathangers magnets, and gaffa tape and spent the rest of the morning trying to fish it out.... NO LUCK!
Ohh.... I said there was some good news....I have spoken to the owner of the cache, who took it surprisingly well. A replacement will appear soon.... So, watch this space.

I was going to grab on New Years Eve, but teenagers were partying - or should I say stumbling everywhere, so I gave it the 'drive by'. I took the kids with me this morning for a quick snatch and run.

Another uneventful night time cache hunt (not). After looking in the obvious spot under a steel balcony for about 15 minutes,I heard a bang .I quickly stood up and nearly knocked myself out on the steel beam above. It was a security/club manager slamming a bin. He said,"What are you doing under the building?" The only thing I could think of was that someone had left something behind. He said how big? I Don't know. I said it's grey and maybe magnetic. He then said that no-one had handed in anything like that. About five minutes after he left me I found it and had a whoppin', big, huge lump on my head to remember my night cache. Thanks IF for placing and thanks Caughtatwork for the cache. |

S27° 21.793' E152° 58.426' The snake isn't open for business until the 18th and even then only between 9am and 5.30pm :) We moved this one further North and the location may prove to be a little tricky for the finder as there is a lot of Grey in close proximity and bad reception for the GPS. |

S27° 27.917' E152° 59.493' So far today the Witch and I have had a great laugh we have had visitors to one of our houses and they never weeded the garden, visitors to one of our work places and Geoff you never even came in to join us whilst we watched some DVD's on the big screen. With all this laughter it was time to snatch the grey and send it home. Government Grey is where you will find this cache. Well as close as we could get without tripping the sensitive perimeter security. |

Hmmm looks like I stirred the Witch from her early morning slumber and caused the Nosugrefs some more grief. Unfortunately it appears that the challenge was not achieved but what would we do if the Grey were to leave.
Well tomorrow is gives us yet another day to play and for all geocachers to prevent the escape of the Grey.

Right! Went all the way over to 'the other side' and yet again guzzumpt by Ruzzelz. We felt very exposed snooping around peoples front verges early on a Saturday morning. This is getting serious. If you 'Northerners' want to play rough I'll have to move Gov Grey to Sydney or the lower end of the Gold Coast. Only joking, this is good fun eh?
Well we made the most of the trip and did 9 Wingaap specials; if our calculations are correct we passed the 100 finds today. So other than missing Gov Grey it was a productive day. |

S27° 29.176' E152° 59.429' Oh Ruzzelz was fast this morning. Witch of team WitchPig got up late looking forward to coffee in front of the TV but made the mistake of calling the Pig to let him know it was moved. The Pig being at work highly recommended I go and get it and move it for us...so much for my lazy morning....anyway...new coordinates are in! |

S27° 27.149' E153° 2.900' The challenge: Can this Grey be Moved at least three times today.
Nothsiders be nervous and be quick, it is Moving south again. This little baby could easily escape across the river from here.
Oh yes, a quick take at 0618 this morning. It was so close to home just had to jump over and grab it.

I have to say Crew that you took a very liberal interpretation of Government grey the colour. I give you your due, it was on the approved colour simply extrordinarily well camouflaged. Very well hidden Crew. |

S27° 20.781' E153° 4.267' VWNuts (who haven't got a cacher name set up yet) have rehidden this cache at the above co-ordinates.
They tell me it's not for the Vertially Challenged.
Now, they didn't give me a story so ...
I went to find this magnificent moving cache this evening. Armed only with GPSr and a long pole I was able to scale the dizzying height to grab this well placed cache. While I was utilising my pole however, one of Queenslands finest happened along and asked what I was doing. Well, rather than give the game away I hit him in the head and ran away. That was the right thing to do wasn't it?
When VWNuts gets their cacher name set up then will log a find and I'll delete the note. |
