Description

The 52nd cache hidden by caughtatwork is another moveable cache and can only be found on Geocaching Australia.

My Moving Cache

Your challenge is to locate this cache, collect it, run away, make your log and rehide it in a location that matches the color of the cache container.

The log sheet is waterproof to (hopefully) ensure its longevity.

Please feel free to log this cache up to 10 times as long as you are having fun finding and rehiding it. Of course, you should wait until someone else has hidden it before you can log it as a find again.

There are some simple guidelines:

  1. When you grab the cache please rehide it again the same day or at the latest within 24 hours.
  2. Rehide the cache attached to an object the same or similar in color.
    The further away the merrier.
  3. Log your find here as soon as you can so others are not trying to find the cache you just moved.
  4. When logging your find at geocaching.com.au, please insert the co-ordinates in the coords box.
This allows the software to automatically update the new location.
Enter your co-ordinates in the format Sdd mm.mmm Eddd mm.mmm
You don't have to include the degrees or minutes symbols when entering updated co-ordinates but you should leave a space between the degrees and minutes.
Try a copy and paste of the example co-ordinates into the new co-ordinates box and type over them.
  5. Please keep this cache in Australia but feel free to move it interstate if you feel in the mood.
  6. Wherever possible, try and keep to the difficulty / terrain rating as originally listed.
Of course the best fun about one of these caches is that you don't have to worry about being spotted retrieving the cache. Feel free to be as obvious as you need to be in order to claim it.

Then run away as fast as you can.

Enjoy.

I just hope Little Red has not been moved by a Muggle in the past three months. I will be passing that way again in the next week or two so if she has not relocated by then I will have another look.

20th Moved snoosnoo S27° 24.666' E153° 0.779'
after some repairs i have sent it on it's way
18th Noted WitchPig After being contacted by snoo snoo it had become obvious that some foul play to our favourite little red had occured. We have just made a new log sheet keeping all the old names on the log. The orignal sheet has dried out but is covered in mould. If this is suitable with caughtatwork we will put the cache back into play.
18th Found it snoosnoo Took some finding, had to ring Witchpig for some help (his coord's were 100m out). Eventualy found it open and wet will attempt to dry it out before replacing.

July 2006

7th Moved WitchPig S27° 23.493' E152° 58.532'
Newly refurbished and all. Lets hope the tennants stay here this time.
7th Found it WitchPig It took me two minutes before I saw the great big red billboard and put 2 and 2 together. I must have looked like a goose checking the back of all the reflectors on the armco.
6th Moved garrone S27° 25.320' E152° 56.894'
Watch the traffi when you pull up. This one is just pasta shops but best observed from the other direction.
5th Found it garrone Found this one at 1600 hours. Joseph found the cache before we had a chance to get out of the car. Luckily we brought a long plastic rod with us, just in case we had time for red. Will hide tommorow some time.
3rd Noted If Passed by this spot yesterday, armed with stick. Stick not long enough. Went and got Govt Grey instead. I have come up with another retrieval method if it is still there in a couple of days.
1st Moved WitchPig S27° 23.814' E152° 56.878'
Of a day time this may be a busy area. Bring a long object like a stick if you wish to retrieve Little Red.
1st Found it WitchPig Retrieved from the booster about 50 metres from where the Grey once was. I should have followed the cows at the same time. :)
1st Moved garrone S27° 24.603' E152° 59.496'
This one won't be a brain strain, but at least Red is back in play.
1st Found it garrone Found quickly by Joe after Dad completely missed it. We will hide it this afternoon.

June 2006

30th Moved WitchPig S27° 28.754' E152° 59.195'
From one building to another. The Co-ords should bring you to the corner where coverage is lost. The Cahce is within a few metres and at about 6 foot in height.
30th Found it WitchPig Nicely hidden I was lucky to walk in on the right angle and spot it straight away.
28th Moved garrone S27° 27.870' E152° 59.791'
Red is tucked away high and dry. There are some nice places for a coffee and a Pizza around here if you have the time.
25th Found it garrone Found at 1530 with the assistance of the Blair/Balls. After hitting the dirt tracks and wondering where in blazes we would end up, suddenly the Gympie Muster stage appeared out of the green. With two large red metal stage wings, we really didn't need the GPS to tell us where Red was. Meika and Kaylene both spotted it simultaneously and I did the honours of climbing the metalwork to retrieve it. Really nice hide powellbruce. As we have only just got home from a spot of camping, we will hide it tomorrow.
25th Noted Crew 153 Just received a phone call from The Garrones that they have picked up this miscreant and will be posting hre movements when they can.

April 2006

17th Noted powellbruce S26° 21.343' E152° 33.476'
litle red has gone into the woods
have fun
16th Found it powellbruce If I don't know how you managed to place the cache where it was but i neeeded to be another foot taller even with the supplied equpment to retrive it i only just managed to reach it.
any way little red is going to exit stage left for the country to muster up a bit of music.
coords will be avalible lunch time pm tomorrow
14th Found it If S27° 28.952' E153° 1.554'
Thanks for the hide Ruzzelz, the exellent fireworks display at ground zero was a nice touch I thought. It lasted a good half hour :)
For the new hiding spot I have taken a leaf out of the WitchPig book of cache placement. A tool to aid retrieval can be located over the nearby fence :)
9th Noted ruzzelz S27° 19.338' E153° 4.951'
After the locomotion and high pressure at the previous spots I'm now resting by the seaside.

If you go quickly you can still catch the Jazz & Wine Festival at the Blue Moon. There is sure to be a wolf or two around the that place.
8th Found it ruzzelz I could hear Little Ms Red crying from my place. I just had to rescue her from the cold of the night. She will be back out frolicking around tomorrow.

8th Noted ruzzelz It appears that all my searching this afternoon was in vain as the Witchpig seems to have swooped in before me. Knew I should have gone for it this morning.

ruzzel
8th Found it WitchPig S27° 23.337' E152° 58.691'
We muggled PowellBruce in their efforts to locate litte red. They seemed convinced the cache wasn't there so we said we would have a quick look and managed to find it tucked away. Gave a toot of the horn to the fleeing PowellBruce and waved the cahce out the window with a slight smile.

Nice to meet you guys.

6th Noted wingaap S27° 24.832' E152° 58.845'
Let's try that again...the coords didnt update.

Coords should now read:

S27 24.832 E152 58.845
6th Noted wingaap
Little Red is out an about.

Your clue: "BOOM"
5th Found it wingaap
Little Red's fires have been extinguished for the time being.

Will release into the wilds shortly
1st Noted WitchPig S27° 29.256' E152° 59.358'
New position located....area can get busy at certain times of the day...keep your car speed under 40km/hr! ;-)
1st Found it WitchPig Oh IF.....I finally get to go to this place...but it was only for the Little Red Cache...not that I was disappointed in finding the cache...but going for a cool million would have been nice...will relocate the cache some time today!

March 2006

31st Found it If S27° 29.509' E153° 2.092'
After a brief tour of the Mediterranean (ie: Ithaca) Little Red is well and truly back on Aussie shores. You will find her trying her luck in the Gabba.
30th Found it wingaap S27° 26.745' E152° 58.779'

A friend said that it sounds like Little Red is off to some Mediterranean Island.
To me it sounds like Glen might just be lying!

Happy Hunting

28th Found it WitchPig S27° 24.571' E153° 0.539'
Once again the WitchPig has the new red cache. Going for a little ride this afternoon leaving from Mt Cootha we will see if we can find some red in the scrub. Wherever it ends up will be accessible by walkers too.

Sorry about the delay but a few things went pair shaped and our ride never eventuated
27th Noted If S27° 27.487' E153° 2.001'
Little Red is back in hiding not in the forest but in the valley. I'd be lion if I said the accuracy of the cache coords was within 4m, but the cache is within 4m of it.
26th Found it If Not quite halfway to Townsville!! Only just north of the Pine River. Funnily enough I just happened to be passing by this evening and saw the POST for Little Red. Moving back towards the big smoke tomorrow.
26th Noted ruzzelz Looks like little Miss Red is not afraid to get out & about.
26th Noted caughtatwork Woohoo.
Grandma's obviously tougher than the Big Bad Wolf.
Thanks for the replacement, it is really appreciated.
26th Noted Nosugrefs Yipes - Reds halfway to Townsville. This is a job for If.
26th Noted wingaap S26° 41.411' E152° 53.589'
Just had a call from Brummy....details as follows:

He tracked down the big bad wolf to the location as listed above. After a ragging battle which involved both stealth and an axe he managed to rescue Little Red. Unfortunately Little Red had expired :( Not to be deterred, the every resourceful Brummy managed to extract a DNA sample and produced a Litte Red Clone.

The long and short of the story is: Little Red is back in action and you'll find her if you "look under".

Happy Hunting
25th Noted caughtatwork Temporarily Unavailable while we work out which of the kids is acting as the Big Bad Wolf :-) Then we'll send Grandma after them.
23rd Did not find it If Saw the new coordinates and knew where it probably was. I hope someone else has grabbed it. Even with it's camoflague it would not take kids long to find it here. They were climbing all over the sculpture when I arrived.
22nd Did not find it WitchPig We took a look on Monday night but didn't find much "red stuff" at the GZ or within a decent radius of GZ. Felt a little suss searching in that area as it seemed too dodgy in front of the homes....especially at 11pm with torches.

PS If I understand what IF is refering too, then we didn't find it there...but then again felt it was a little too private to go searching.
20th Noted If Hmmm nice house, shame about the hiding spot. Give it a coat of paint!! No I didn't find it :)
Oh so it isn't that house in Hawthorne. A different kind of house. Expect a flood of complaints ;)
20th Noted wingaap
Wont be going for this location...it's just down the road from IF's territory...and if IF the power pedaler is up to form it's probably half way to Lismore by now!!
20th Found it brummy S27° 28.169' E153° 3.262'
Sorry for the delay in rehiding this one.
Oops I think the wife is Dyslexic 8(

Red has a Damn Good View
17th Did not find it wingaap
Visted muggle central this morning in search of two caches. Missed out on both.
17th Noted ruzzelz IF someone does not take the grey then it might also go for a move into Government hands. :)

17th Noted Crew 153 DAMn. Will you find anything Red?
17th Found it ruzzelz Ms Red is going for a long ride. IF you seek her you may need to come for the "View".

ruzzelz
16th Found it If S27° 28.565' E153° 1.242'
I was headed out for a bike ride this morning in the general direction of Brookfield and lo and behold Little Red pops up at grandma's place in the middle of Brisbane Forest Park. Followed the bike trails from The Gap to GZ. Took a while to find Little Red, I thought the big bad Wingaap might have got her. Found her eventually and we continued on our merry way through the bush to parts unknown.
Dropped off Little Red nearer to civilization.
GPS reception may be bad at the new location, so a grid search may be necessary.
16th Noted wingaap
Meet up with IF this morning on the way to find Ms Red.
I was tempted to force him off the road (so I could reach the cache before him). However, after seeing him issue the old nordic one fingered salute and hearty greeting to a less than attentive motorist I elected to attact his attention in another way!
Thus followed a titanic battle of scissors, paper, rock The result....IF pedaled off into the sunset...well off down the road to meet up with Ms Red ;)
16th Found it WitchPig S27° 28.763' E152° 55.648'
Tricks, who us :) The cache is now near a great area to take your push bike with trails from beginner to intermediate in the near vicinity. There are some walking trails nearby as well but this one will be found just off of a MTB only trail. Calling IF.
15th Noted ruzzelz S27° 23.155' E153° 1.913'
We have been in Red cliffe, Under a Red --- and under a Red ---.

Please get me out of here very quick or else the Witchpig will be up to their tricks.

I can depart many ways from here.
15th Noted If Cor you gotta be quick to beat Ruzzelz! Guess he needed breakfast more than me :)
15th Found it ruzzelz Lots of muggles waiting for something right beside it.

Back out tonight.
14th Found it WitchPig S27° 23.866' E152° 57.603'
Ruzzelz tortured me all night, the hint was a dead give away and the only red thing provided the cache. I sat at work until it was time to knock off thinking some of those keen cachers might beat me to it. Retrieved the Cache not far from Caughtatworks brother in law and re hid it in it's third shire in as many days.
13th Noted ruzzelz S27° 24.070' E153° 1.901'
Should it be Red Hill, Redlands or Redbank. Nah all too far away for today.

Seems this place is open 24/7 but takes another name.
12th Found it ruzzelz ruzzelz has removed the Red from cliffe.

Stay tuned so many places to consider.

PS. I normally hate looking into trees at night but just had to grab this one.

12th Noted caughtatwork S27° 15.773' E153° 6.281'
A quick note to log the starting co-ordinates for posterity.
Also, you won't find the initial hide in anything red, nor magnetic. Although it is near (well a couple of k's) from something named red.
My Brother-in-Law who will have a caching name soon, brought this cache back to Queensland from Victoria and I didn't quite explain clearly what needed to be done.
Still the cache shouldn't be hard to find as I've been led to believe it's the only place in that area that could have a cache. If future hiders could keep to the red theme that would be appreciated.
