Description
Rocks, Locks and a Box - Find a Key 1 is the 54th cache hidden by caughtatwork.
This cache contains the first key to Rocks, Locks and a Box.
By key, literally a key, for a padlock that is attached to the cache container at Rocks, Locks and a Box (GA0408).
Your challenge is to locate this cache, collect it and run away. You then make use of the key inside to unlock one of the padlocks at Rocks, Locks and a Box. You can then make your log and rehide the cache.
The log sheet is waterproof to (hopefully) ensure its longevity.
There is only one rule:
- This cache must remain within 5km of Rocks, Locks and a Box.
- When you grab the cache please rehide it again the same day or at the latest within 24 hours.
- Log your find here as soon as you can so others are not trying to find the cache you just moved.
- When logging your find at geocaching.com.au, please insert the co-ordinates in the coords box.
This allows the software to automatically update the new location.
Enter your co-ordinates in the format Sdd mm.mmm Eddd mm.mmm
You don't have to include the degrees or minutes symbols when entering updated co-ordinates but you should leave a space between the degrees and minutes.
Try a copy and paste of the example co-ordinates into the new co-ordinates box and type over them. - Wherever possible, try and keep to the difficulty / terrain rating as originally listed.
- Even though the temptation may be almost unbearable, please do not haystack the cache when you rehide it.
Then run away as fast as you can.
Enjoy.
Logs
Alas, since the cache was rehidden, it has been barricaded off behind a new and unclimbable fence. Well, I suppose I could climb it, but I think the owners of the pipes would be very displeased with me. After the rousing success that this cache series has been (4 finds in two and a half years), I've decided to archive it.
Kept for a day so I could pickup the final for drying.
The Garmin worked pretty well here too. Rob and I completed this little series last night as well. More details in the other logs.
Thanks.
Thanks.
One key in hand when we went to find the other. I knew this park so I knew where to start. Knowing what I was looking for helped too. Soon the cache was in hand.
Thanks, Robmc.

With our lack of success at Find a Key 2 we decided that we would check out the other parts of this group. We found this one easy enough and everything remains in good nick. There has been some clearing going on nearby and piling up of rubbish, not sure how long ago or what the plans are.
A recent grass fire through the area where this cache is located caused a quick visit this morning and luckily even though everything is black it hasn't affected the cache at all.
In fact, the cache looks very natural where it is sitting and is an extremely easy find now that there is no vegetation to cover it.
I expect the vegetation to get back up to speed quickly, so now may be a good time to go and find it.

Reasonably close to Rocks Locks and a Box for a faster time this time around.
After putting this off till I found Find A Key 2, it was a quick find this afternoon.
This one proved a little harder but was found after about 3 min. I stoped looking at the arrow and thought where would I posibly put it and it was there. Took it used it then took it for a ride and hid it with some of it's kind only larger.

Logging the starting co-ordinates for posterity and to leave a small clue.
Your clue is that you won't have to leave the pathway to grab the cache.
